Colonial Park Tree Planting

Join your neighbors and volunteer to plant trees in Colonial Park. Prior to the tree planting event, tree holes will be dug and refilled with an auger by the city. Tools provided. Please bring gloves and sunscreen.

If you are a lover of park trees please mark your calendar for Saturday, November 8th @9:00 am. The Park Committee will be planting 15 trees in the park on that day. The committee & the new trees need volunteer help. Some of the trees along 53rd St. have severe sunburn. We will be planting their eventual replacements along with some trees near the shade structure, in the wading pool area and in some other park spaces that will provide a shade legacy for future generations of Colonial Park users.
